Susie Trainor developed a fabulous design concept for my new Optometry practice and retail premises. She responded to my brief with style and a great level of understanding. Susie delivered a job true to the vision on the story boards. The result is classy and contemporary with a touch of vintage whimsy.

Susie was delightful to deal with. She was onsite to oversee any design related installations. Susie was attentive to practical issues and design details and communicated clearly.

The practice has only been open 3 weeks and we are already seeing new customers who are attracted by the street appeal. I could not be happier. Without reservation I would recommend Susie T Designs.

Whitehouse Optometrists

Whitehouse Optometrists approached Susie T Designs to provide a stunning new design and fit out for its St Leonards store. We began with a complete strip out and reconfiguration of the current floorplan to provide an additional exam room, storage room and to conceal the workshop from customers view. I wanted to reinforce their unique selling point in that they are Sydney’s longest serving optometrists.

Using this as inspiration, I designed a scheme with a vintage Art Deco influence, using beautiful herringbone oak floors, marble look stone, green velvet sofa and drawer linings, a strong grey for walls and joinery and brass detailing throughout. Lighting was of utmost importance to highlight the spectacles as well as create a beautiful and welcoming ambience. Crystal vintage pendant globes sparkle in the window, attracting customers inside and a stunning black and glass pendant hangs over the custom display table. Whimsical optical graphics and vintage photos lighten the scheme and add a touch of fun to the space. It has been a complete transformation for the practice and has proved hugely successful with appointments being booked out for months in advance.
